A Happier, Healthier You

In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with the tools to cope with life’s obstacles. 

The clients I mostly work with want to:

  • Create harmony and balance in their life

  • Connect to their inner resources

  • Take responsibility and initiative for change

  • Learn how to better regulate emotions

  • Develop better communication skills

  • Understand their family system dynamic

I consider the most important aspects of therapy to be helping clients uncover their inherent strengths and empowering them to create lasting change in themselves and their relationships.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I utilize systems theory when working with clients toward their goals.

Family Therapy involves looking at an individual as a member of a system.  It means that we are connected to others and our actions can be understood in the context of the relationships and emotional systems we exist within.  Family Therapy works with one or many members of a family, but always is thinking about the system as a whole.

Systems thinking emphasizes the ways in which we are all interconnected and influenced by our environment, including our personal family history and past events. I believe that the quality of our relationships greatly influences our quality of life!


My style is warm, attentive, and engaged. I strongly believe that everyone deserves care and respect, a sense of belonging, and empowerment.  The relationship and trust between therapist and clients is a foundational aspect of any therapy. I work hard to create a safe place for you. At the same time, my attention is focused beyond our conversations during the counselling session, but on the important aspects of your life that you would like to change.
