I like to think about therapy as a journey that the client (family) and the counsellor take together. One of the most important and hardest things on this journey is to figure out the optimal pace for your time together.

Do not go around in circles.

Do not miss any important “road” forks and intersections.

Do not leave anyone behind.

Do not drag them down.

Be beside. Walk.
